6 Keys to Guarantee Biblical Wealth and Prosperity

6 Keys to Guarantee Biblical Wealth and Prosperity By .

Last week my pastor asked me to teach the Wednesday night service at our church while he enjoyed himself at Bike Week in Florida. I’ve learned not to panic anymore when he asks, but it can certainly be a little intimidating to get up in front of people to teach. I’ve gotten much more comfortable with it over the years though. So I decided to talk about what I know best, which is biblical wealth and prosperity.

Of course I don’t claim to be a world renowned expert on the subject, but I do have many years of experience teaching what the bible has to say about it.

If you like, you can scroll down to the middle of this post and watch the video of my teaching.

Wealth and Prosperity- A Touchy Subject

Talking about wealth and prosperity in the church is one of those subjects that tend to get used and abused on a regular basis.

On one hand there are some who teach that if you just believe hard enough, you can have all the wealth and prosperity you could ever want. Of course, belief and faith are one part of the equation, but there’s a lot more to it than that.

On the other hand some preachers try to convince you that being wealthy, successful, and prosperous are something to be avoided- that the poorer you are, the more humble you are and the closer to God you become.

Does God Want You to Be Wealthy?

But where does the truth lie when you’re talking about prosperity and wealth in the Bible? How does it relate to your spiritual walk and your relationship with God?

Does God even want us to be wealthy and prosperous, or are we better off spiritually if we stay away from it?

As it turns out, the Bible has a lot to say about wealth and prosperity. It actually puts forth several key things you can do to achieve the righteous wealth and prosperity that God actually does want us to have.

In fact, if we follow the prescription we find in the scriptures, He has no choice but to give us a level of prosperity that fulfills our every need, plus guarantees an excess that we can use to bless others with.

The Definition of Prosperity

Before I delved into what the Bible had to say about it, the first thing I decided to do is to look up the definition of prosperity. So I looked up the Webster’s definition along with several versions found in Greek and Hebrew. Here are some of the characteristics of prosperity that I found:

  • Plenty
  • To be over and above, to abound
  • Advance or gain in anything good or desirable
  • Deliverance, salvation
  • Peace
  • More than enough
  • Successful progress in business or enterprise
  • Completeness, soundness
  • Good fortune

As you can see, prosperity is not all about money. Prosperity consists of so much more than that. It’s a comprehensive, all-encompassing variety of good things for your life, finances included!

Here’s What I Found in the Bible

In my study, I found 6 key things you can do to make sure that God opens up the windows of heaven for you and provide you with a blessed life that most people could only dream about.

Therefore, as I list each one I’ll have a few scriptures to back it up. This is a fairly long and comprehensive study on the subject, but I know you’ll appreciate the revelations you receive as you get into it!

6 Keys to Prosperity and Wealth in Every Part of Your Life

There are 6 key things I found that you can do to bring godly wealth and prosperity into your life. I’m sure there are others that I could include, but these seem to be the ones that crop up over and over in the scriptures. Here’s the list:

  • Diligence
  • Seek God in Everything
  • Seek Righteousness
  • Keep His Commandments (Walk in His Ways)
  • Honor God With Your Wealth
  • Develop Your Faith (Trust) in God

So let’s get started…

One of the first things I discovered that you must do to get God’s blessings upon you is to practice DILIGENCE.

Now, when the Bible refers to diligence in these scriptures, it’s referring to consistency and hard work. The definition of diligence I found on Google reads “careful and persistent effort”

“Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God.”

Key Phrases:

  • Diligently obey
  • Observe carefully
  • Overtake you

Listen to what God has to say- in His word as well as in direct communication with Him (prayer). Be diligent to observe His commandments and He will set you above others that don’t. Do these things and His blessings will overtake you because you are diligently obedient.

“…the LORD does not allow the righteous go hungry, But He thwarts the craving of the wicked. A slack hand causes poverty, But the hand of the diligent makes rich.”

Key Phrases:

  • The righteous won’t go hungry
  • Be diligent in pursuing God and Godly things, and He will reward you
  • Lack of diligence causes you to come to poverty

When you’re being diligent to pursue righteousness God will see to it that you are fed. Diligence makes one rich (prosperous in every way). However, lack of diligence will cause you to come to poverty (lack of prosperity).

“The soul of a lazy man desires, and has nothing; But the soul of the diligent shall be made rich.”

  • Desire without work will never allow you to have anything
  • Diligence makes you rich (prosperous)

Wishing will get you nowhere, but hard work and consistent effort will always benefit you and your situation. God sees your diligence and rewards you for it instead of simply granting empty wishes to someone not willing to do the work necessary.

Seeking God in everything goes along with diligence, in that seeking God should be a constant in your life if you want God to consistently bless you and your situation.

2 CHRONICLES 31:20-216 Keys to Biblical Wealth and Prosperity

“Thus Hezekiah did throughout all Judah, and he did what was good and right and faithful before the Lord his God. And in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, in the law and in the commandment, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart. So he prospered.”

Key Phrases:

  • Did what was good
  • All his heart

Hezekiah sought God, did what was good, and served Him with all his heart. When you are a seeker God in every situation and you’re faithful, God will cause you to prosper in the same way.

PSALM 1:1-3

“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly; nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”

Key Phrases:

  • Delight in the law of the Lord

Standing as a sinner, being scornful, and taking the advice of ungodly people are all things that keep you from accessing God’s blessings. But when you set your heart and mind on godly things you are constantly nourished, always fruitful, and whatever you do prospers because you have that Godly blessing upon you.

You will be constantly fed. You’ll be fruitful in due season. You will not wither when things get tough (in a dry season). You will prosper in everything you do when you consistently seek godly things.

Righteousness simply means being in right standing with God.

PSALM 37:25-26

“I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, or his seed begging bread. He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed”

Key Phrase-

  • not seen the righteous forsaken

Righteousness is a state of moral uprightness that can only be achieved through belief in Jesus and God’s plan of salvation. Being righteous doesn’t mean you’re perfect, but it does mean you follow God’s ways and believe in salvation. You are always seeking God’s ways and living them out in your own life.

When you practice righteousness:

  • God will never forsake you
  • You won’t be in poverty, your children won’t have to beg to meet their needs
  • You’ll have the ability to be merciful to people
  • You will be lender, not a borrower
  • Your seed will be blessed- meaning it will multiply and flourish, meeting all your needs to the point of excess

PROVERBS 8:18-21

“Riches and honor are with me: yea, durable riches and righteousness. My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver. I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment; That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.”

Key Phrase:

  • Durable riches and righteousness

Walking in God’s path for your life brings riches and honor. This means riches in everything, not just material wealth. He leads you into righteousness, and when you follow His lead you will have durable riches as well.

  • Durable Riches- Wealth that is gotten in righteous ways is lasting wealth, and will be an inheritance to your children’s children

Keep His Commandments (Walk in His Ways)

Keeping God’s commandments (walking in His ways) is a very important part of leading a good Christian life, but does it result in wealth and abundance?

PSALM 23:1

The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want.

So when you allow yourself to be led by the Lord, you will never lack for anything.

1 KINGS 2:3

David’s Instructions to Solomon as He Was Dying

“And keep the charge of the LORD your God, walking in His ways and keeping his statutes, his commandments, His rules, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do, and wherever you turn…”

Key Phrases:

  • Walking in His ways
  • Thou may prosper in all that you do

When you do Godly things and follow Godly ways you will prosper in everything and whichever way you turn. David gave these instructions to Solomon (who followed them) and ended up being known as the wisest and wealthiest man who ever lived!

PSALM 84:11-12

“For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly…”

Key Phrase:

  • sun and shield

Walking uprightly in the way of the Lord allows God to light your way (sun) and protect you (shield). It allows Him to extend you grace when you need it, and allows Him to bring ALL good things your way.

“If you walk in my statutes and keep my commandments, and perform them, then I will give you rain in its season, the land shall yield its produce, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. Your threshing shall last till the time of vintage, and the vintage shall last till the time of sowing; you shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.”

Key Phrases:

  • walk in my statutes
  • yield fruit

Walk in my statutes, keep my commandments- I’ll provide the rain that produces growth and abundance for what you have planted. You’ll have abundance from one harvest that will continue to the next harvest. You will have more than enough.

Honor God With Your Wealth

God is a Giver. We are made in God’s image, so we are made to be givers too. God knows we function at our best when we give of what we have, and he rewards us for it.

Proverbs 10:22

“The blessing of the Lord brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it.”

Key Phrases- Blessing of the Lord

Of course, God is a giver of blessings. How do you get the blessings of the Lord upon you? By following His ways, being diligent, seeking Him, seeking righteousness, etc., He has to bless you. He has no other choice- His blessings make you wealthy in every aspect- He gives it to you freely and joyfully without condemnation.

“Honor thy Lord with your wealth, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.”

Key Phrases: Honor the Lord

There are many ways to honor the Lord (worship, good works, upright living…) but this one specifically says to do it with your substance (your wealth). Giving the first fruits (tithe) is part of this, but also using your wealth in righteous ways (family, charity, etc.) is also included. Doing these things not only allows you to have enough, you’ll have an excess.

“then you say in your heart, ‘My power and the might of my hand have gained me this wealth.’ And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth…”

Key Phrases:

  • My power
  • He gives you power

Remember that all wealth comes from God. He gives you the power to generate wealth, be it a little or a lot. Recognizing that wealth is gained through His power and not yours allows you to stay humble.

This recognition opens up the doors for Him to bless your hard work. Leaving God out of the equation limits the blessing you get from all your hard work. He can’t multiply it unless you believe that ultimately it all comes from Him.

“Whoever brings blessing will be made rich, And he who waters will also be watered himself.”

Another form of giving is just being a blessing to others, which opens up God’s ability to see to it that you are blessed in return.

Malachi 3:10-12

“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the LORD of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field, Says the LORD of hosts. And all nations will call you blessed For you will be a delightful land, Says the LORD of hosts.”

Key Phrases

  • Bring the tithe into the storehouse (Give to the church)

What Tithing Does:

  • opens up the windows of Heaven
  • Rebukes the devourer (instead of living paycheck to paycheck, you’ll have enough)
  • Won’t destroy what you have (fruit) or your harvest that is on the way (vine)
  • Others will call you blessed

“But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.”

Key Phrases:

  • Sow
  • Reap
  • cheerful giver

Giving is like spreading seed– if you only spread a few seeds, you get only a few plants and a small harvest. Sowing very little means you reap very little (you’ll just barely get by). A sparse harvest will cause you to consume all your seed instead of putting some back for more sowing.

On the other hand, spreading more seed gets you a bigger harvest, producing an excess that allows you to sow even more, gaining an even larger harvest.

Be cheerful when you give. Negativity about giving actually cancels out your blessing. Always sow happily in anticipation of a great harvest.

Develop Your Faith (Trust) in God

Trusting God to do what His word says He will do is extremely important to gaining godly prosperity and wealth. If you can’t trust God to live up to His word, then why do you believe in the first place?

JAMES 1:5-7

“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and up-braideth not: and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, not wavering. For he that wavers is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think he shall receive any thing of the Lord.”

Key Phrases:

  • Gives to all men liberally
  • he that wavers

Ask of Him, and He will give to you liberally. You must ask in faith and not waver. Being unsure about God’s promises will not allow you to receive His liberal gifts to you.

MATTHEW 6:31-33

“Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink: or, wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

Key Phrases:

  • Take no thought
  • seek first

Don’t sit around worrying about food, clothing, or basic needs. Have faith, and trust that God knows what you need and that He will provide it when you seek Him first.

PSALM 37:3-5,11

“Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.”

Key Phrases:

  • Trust in the Lord
  • Delight in the Lord
  • commit

Trust means you should have faith that He is on your side and will work on your behalf. Complete trust in God is a very difficult thing to do, but when you give it all over to Him, that’s when He can do His best work for you.

Delight in the Lord- Commune with God often and experience the joy that comes with that communion.

Commit- Don’t be double minded or wishy washy. Non committed people don’t get very far at anything in life or with God

So do these things and He will give you the desires of your heart. He will bring it to pass.

Dangote’s encounter with Arch Bishop Benson Idahosa

Dangote’s encounter with Arch Bishop Benson Idahosa

Benson Idahosa (Arch Bishop) is Africa’s patriarch of modern day Pentecostalism. The story is told about the encounter between Arch Bishop Benson Idahosa and Aliko Dangote.

Aliko Dangote was born into a wealthy home in Kano. He got his first degree in Cairo, Egypt. He had always loved trading , and reports say he hawked sweets even as a primary school child , even though his family was wealthy. Dangote is really a very humble person even by the confessions of people who have interacted with him.

Dangote’s encounter with Arch Bishop Benson Idahosa

Dangote’s encounter with Arch Bishop Benson Idahosa

But Dangote is not the only hardworking Nigerian. He is not the only humble person around . He is probably not the most business savvy in Africa. But he is certainly the richest Black Man in the world . His companies employ over 11 , 000 people directly – not to mention , distributors, contractors and other vendors who depend on his businesses to thrive . Dangote is a blessing to humanity.

There is no family in Nigeria today that does not have a Dangote product in their home. If it is not sugar, then it is salt or the house you are living in was built with a Dangote Cement . Everyone has something to do with his business , so like Job he earns a little off everyone and that is the way to get wealthy.

Dangote is the 23rd richest person in the world and is said to be the second most powerful African alive . The question is how did Dangote attain such a height ? Yes, you can’ t take away his hard work and business acumen, but that is only the starting point. The answer will not be found in the Forbes Magazine or on Wikipedia. The answer is in the verse of scripture quoted above : If you are willing and obedient you will eat the good of the land .

The Encounter with Idahosa

Sometime in the early 90s Dangote had an encounter that set his foot on the path of destiny. Archbishop Benson Idahosa had some guests TL Osborn, an American pentecostal Evangelist, and his wife, Daisy in Benin who needed to travel back urgently from Benin to Lagos to catch up their flight to the US . Unfortunately by the time the Archbishop took his guests to the airport they were told that the last flight for the day was overbooked and not a single seat was available. As a matter of fact , the passengers have boarded and were about to take off. Idahosa asked for the plane to be delayed a few minutes and walked to the tarmac where he was allowed to address the passengers. He pleaded with them about the desperate situation of his guests and asked that two persons should donate their seats for his guests to get to Lagos.

Dangote’s encounter with Arch Bishop Benson Idahosa

Dangote’s encounter with Arch Bishop Benson Idahosa

Everyone in that plane was a Christian . Not one of them batted an eyelid. Some pretended to be asleep, some pretended to be praying and the man of God stood waiting . From the back of the plane , a young man asked the person sitting next to him to get up and together they vacated their seat for the American visitors. Idahosa stopped him in the aisle of the plane and asked , “ Youngman , what is your name and what do you do ?” “ My name is Dangote , Aliko Dangote and this is my assistant . I am a trader, a businessman .”

It was there and then, that Papa Idahosa prophesied to him that “ the World will get up for you”. He prayed that God should take his business beyond Africa and bless him beyond measure . Today we see that prophesy manifesting . God destined that blessing for someone seated in that plane that evening. But there was a condition attached to it – Isa 1 :19 If you will only let me help you, if you will only obey , then I will make you rich! Dangote ’ s wealth today was not meant for a Christian businessman who was too proud, too fixated in his mind to offer the “ flamboyant man of God” , the “ prosperity preacher” his seat .

My question is, if you were there on that plane , would you have taken the blessing?

7 Biblical Facts About the Angel Gabriel

Gabriel isn’t Called an Archangel in the Bible

Many people, including Christians consider Gabriel an archangel and for good reason. The book of Enoch, an influential work written between the Old and New Testament, references Gabriel as an archangel. Because of this, most believe that Gabriel is an archangel from this text. The book of Enoch says Gabriel and Michael were both archangels. Jude quotes the book of Enoch as prophecy and calls Michael and archangel. Because of this, Jude considered Gabriel an archangel too, all pointing to Gabriel being one. But the truth is the Protestant Bible never once calls Gabriel an archangel. The only named angel specifically called an archangel in the Bible is Michael, referenced in Jude 9.

Gabriel Only Speaks to Three Biblical Characters

We know from Scripture that the angel Gabriel is a messenger who is entrusted to deliver several important messages on God’s behalf. Gabriel appears to at least three people in the Bible, first to the prophet Daniel, referenced in Daniel 8:16; next to the priest Zechariah to foretell and announce the miraculous birth of John the Baptist (Luke 19:19); and finally to the virgin Mary to tell her that she would conceive and bear a son, referenced in Luke 1:26-28.

Gabriel First Appears in Daniel’s Vision

The first time we see Gabriel, he appears to Daniel after the prophet had a vision. Gabriel’s role is to explain the vision to Daniel. The Bible tells us, “And I heard a man’s voice between the banks of the Ulai, and it called, ‘Gabriel, make this man understand the vision.” Gabriel’s appearance was that of a man. When Gabriel visited Daniel a second time, he came to him “in swift flight at the time of the evening sacrifice” (Daniel 9:21).

Angel Gabriel

Gabriel May Not Have Had Wings

While popular art and culture depict Gabriel with wings, he may not have had them. Gabriel’s “flight” referenced in Daniel 9:21 might suggest wings, but wings are not mentioned. While there is no record of Gabriel having wings, Scripture also doesn’t say that he didn’t have wings. Much is left up to our imagination.

Gabriel’s Name Means “God is Great”

His name has tremendous significance and power. Gabriel means “God is great,” and, as the angel of the annunciation, he is the one who revealed that the Savior would be called “Jesus” referenced in Luke 1:31. But Jesus isn’t the only baby Gabriel names. When Gabriel startles Zechariah in the temple, he tells the priest to name his son John (Luke 1:13). In Matthew’s Gospel, Jesus states that among the sons of women, nobody is greater than John the Baptist – although the very least in the kingdom of God would be greater than John. Gabriel is quite significant as he names the two greatest humans to ever live. Every time Gabriel shows up in the Bible, he makes some mention of Jesus. Gabriel’s messages always point to the coming Messiah.

Angel Gabriel

Gabriel is One of Two Named Good Angels in the Bible

While many angels are referenced in the Bible, Gabriel is one of the two good and holy angels referenced by name which is pretty significant. He has favored position as an angel who stands in the presence of God (Luke 1:19), and he is selected to deliver important messages of God’s particular love and favor to individuals chosen to be part of God’s plan.

Gabriel’s Appearance is Rather Terrifying

It is clear from Scripture that Gabriel’s appearance was rather terrifying, as Daniel fell on his face at the sight of him. The Bible tells us, “So he came near where I stood. And when he came, I was frightened and fell on my face. But he said to me, ‘Understand, O son of man, that the vision is for the time of the end’” (Daniel 8:17). The Bible also tells us that he was sick for days after his experience with the angel and the vision. Scripture also says, “And I, Daniel, was overcome and lay sick for some days. Then I rose and went about the king’s business, but I was appalled by the vision and did not understand it” (Daniel 8:27). Zechariah is likewise “startled and gripped with fear” (Luke 1:12). His fear may not have been based as much on his physical appearance as it was the shock factor. He did show up unannounced in what was supposed to be an empty temple. He may have been less frightened by his looks than he was his sudden appearance.

While God has called His heavenly messengers to work on His behalf, He has also called angels to work in our lives in very profound ways. Gabriel is an incredible example of this. God loves us so much that He sends His angels to guard, guide and protect us through various stages of our life. Although we may not immediately know or see that angels are around us, they are there at God’s direction and working to assist us in this life and the next.

Founder of Charis Missionary Ministries, Apostle Prof. JB Makananisa, has decided to render an apology to Founder of the Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) Prophet Shepherd Bushiri for the chaos that “has been thrown against the body of Christ” over the past 48 hours.

Apostle Makananisa who has been under a barrage of criticisms of members of the public and his own congregation based in ramshackle cabins of Thembisa, a township near Johannesburg, for inciting two prophets of his church, who confessed plots hatched against Prophet Shepherd Bushiri and his Enlightened Christian Gathering congregation.

“Our plan was to see to it that ECG was closed so he(Apostle) got some high ranking people in government to make sure this plots were carried out”, one of the prophets Themba Nkosi said during his confession before the over 70,000 congregants of ECG on Sunday.

Apostle Makananisa Apologises to Prophet Bushiri

He continued, “we involved some of the top officials of the Hawks Intelligence Unit and a minister in government whose name I can’t mention to carry out a series of activities planned against Prophet Bushiri”.

Simultaneously, as the confessions were ongoing within the confines of ECG, Apostle Makananisa decided to go against all odds and suspended his own Sunday service to tune in to Prophetic channel owned by Prophet Shepherd Bushiri to watch proceedings. JB became a Prophetic Channel viewer as he joined 28 million viewers world-wide.

One of his Prophets, Rodd’s, producing documented evidence showed how they had plotted to set up young ladies against the anointed man of God, Major 1.

“Apostle asked me to contact some women who we could use against Prophet Bushiri “, he admitted to the shock of the congregation. His decoys were two prophets, one usher, and three other ladies recruited by the Apostle to carry out the nefarious activities that had been planned against Prophet Bushiri and his large following.

By day break on Monday, a flurry of comments, aspersions and innuendoes from Makananisa’s own church members attempting to quit the church has informed his decision to play a diplomatic card of apologising to prophet Bushiri behind doors in order to regain his eroding self-respect and his members some of whom have already joined prophet Bushiri’s ECG.

Apostle JB Makananisa

“I can confirm that, Apostle Makananisa has contacted our office to be able to speak to the Prophet. Secondly, we have also received a call from our mother church in London, Spirit Embassy, that a call was received from Charis Missionary to speak to Prophet Uebert Angel”, Charles Musonda, one of the Media Relations Officer of the Church said.

Prophet Uebert Angel, who is visibly discontent with the earth shattering revelations made by these prophets from Charis ministries is due in South Africa this weekend. It does look as though, an acceptance of his apology could be the only way to save his face and his 205 members who are leaving in numbers after that embarrassing and disgraceful acts by a man of God.

For so long now, ECG has been a hub of miracles that could be depicted as the mighty hand of God at work. As per tradition, biblical history has it that strange phenomenon in the spiritual atmosphere always face earthly attacks.

On Monday, February 12, during the Diplomatic Service at Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) Church in Pretoria something unexpected took place. To the glory of God, I was welcomed back to the loving arms of Prophet Shepherd Bushiri, the Major 1. It was a great moment which created memories that I wish to hold so dearly in my life.

Swordsman Sam Megas’ reunion with Prophet Shepherd Bushiri

CAGC’s Official Statement on Swordsman Sam Megas’ reunion with Prophet Shepherd Bushiri

When I was young, I received a great calling into the prophetic. As a young man in ministry, in order to realize my spiritual dream and be shaped into such a man that I am becoming, I needed a connection. By grace, Prophet Shepherd Bushiri came into my life. As I remember, he spotted me from a far and told me that he saw a great calling upon my life, as forensic in the prophetic He just nailed it interpreting the vision God showed me.

This encounter was a confirmation of the revelation I had received from God. At this same instant, I submitted to him and went on to serve under ECG. I was given a great Fatherly and Motherly love from Prophet Shepherd Bushiri and Prophetess Mary Bushiri. As a matter of truth, I was more of an adopted son because I was taken into his own home that I stayed in for two years, learning and perfecting my spiritual life, taking care of my physical needs as well.

Life is a journey and growing up is tough. There comes a time, when as a child, you have the urge to face the world and be independent. Such a heart can sometimes lead to rebellion and as the story has been told, I was out of Prophet Shepherd Bushiri’s covering.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. Just like the Roman Catholic Church, one of the greatest establishments in Christian History suffered what is now known as the ‘Dark Ages’, I, too, suffered my own share of dark moments. This is the time that I moved and submitted to Apostle JB Makananisa, a great man of God ministering under Charis Missionary Church.

I was welcomed with open hands and I was given the love with a hook. May it be known that my submission to Apostle JB Makananisa was nowhere near money oriented reasons, but simply to have a covering and a home to go to when in need of fatherly help.

One thing led to another and I later realized a home I called a home was not really what I had hoped. It welcomed people based on what they could offer, especially in their fight against ECG and Prophet Shepherd Bushiri. To those who lied to have had information about Prophet Shepherd Bushiri were treated as Kings and given a platform to humiliate the Major 1 and his organisation.

This made me question if indeed I made the right decision to call the place my home. As a man of few words, I chose not to go to the altar and humiliate another man of God. May it be understood that my intentions of submitting were not to kill my vision but rather, build the vision of my new home. From the beginning, God gave me a race to run and I have worked so had towards building CAGC and Swords TV.

Going on an altar of God to discuss another person has never been my intention. On my first appearance, I was prayed for and spoken to by the man of God, Apostle Makananisa. It is what I needed in the first place, direction. The question that got me puzzled is when He wanted to know if Prophet Bushiri is indeed a man of God. When I saw men that came after me, standing on the altar and speaking all different things about Prophet Shepherd Bushiri, my heart was troubled and it is this trouble that led me to write a statement which I put few weeks ago. In the statement, I encouraged peace between the sides and called for all Christians to unite in praying for the two sides.

Following the statement, I was described as a traitor by the side of Apostle JB Makananisa. To them, stating openly that I respected both men of God was a sin. Clearly, they expected something from me, and that was a thing I could not do. This pushed my face out of their presence. I was broken and it is at this point that I realized I needed to go where I belong, to the house of God, under the guidance of Prophet Shepherd Bushiri.

It was not easy for me to call him , for we had not spoken for a very long time. Surprisingly, when I contacted him, he called me back with warmth and excitement. He told me how much he missed me and how he always prayed for me. I felt the love of a Father, I had been in prayer and completed fasting on the 12th day just to appear before my father’s grace, His first words of love, where “bring him food, let him eat with me”. A vision became clear. I needed Prophet Shepherd Bushiri more than he needed me.

In all our talks, let it be known that there has never been a point when he talked about Apostle Makananisa and the relationship I had with him. He respected that and seeing what Charis Missionary has become today, a platform for Prophet Shepherd Bushiri`s despisers, I bleed with shame to have been on this very same platform receiving the word from God. But I remembered that sometimes Moses needs to be in Pharaohs house in order to understand True opposition, I was in a house that has opposition of the Prophet of God, Alas!

Being back home has been quite an amazing experience and I thank God that I now have a clear direction. To my followers, spiritual sons and daughters, I urge you to refrain from attacking anointed men of God and above all, I urge you to stand strong with me in these difficult times and learn from my mistakes, and experiences, Never leave your father no matter what. God will only give you one home and the same home you have been given is what will raise you, until you are old and matured enough to begin your individual journey. A father has to release you in grace of his love.

I now carry the grace of my Father in the Lord, Prophet Shepherd Bushiri, and I know I am an agenda in another church, but our present sufferings and shame shall not be compared to grace I have received of my father the Prophet Shepherd Bushiri.

Remain Blessed,

Prophet Sam Megas
